MEN Relay
After the first leg, the Swedish team came back the fastest, however, Finland 1 with Janne Salmi moved into the top-position and Finland 1 did not give back the lead till the finish, and won with three minutes ahead of Sweden 1 and Finland 2.
 WOMEN Relay
In the women's class, Norway's team won. After the first leg, Finland came back first. On the second leg, Simone Luder from Switzerland had the fastest time and moved into fourth position, just only nine seconds after leading Denmark, Sweden 1 and Norway 1. It was a very exciting last leg. On that last leg, Brigitte Wolf (Switzerland) and Birgitte Nordahl-Husebye (Norway) were leading at halfway radio-control. Brigitte Wolf had a little shorter control and moved ahead, however, before the last radio-control, Brigitte Wolf made a parallel-mistake and lost about one minute, which was then chance for Birgitte Nordahl-Husebye to take the lead into the finish. All three members of the Norwegian team were also members of the last years World-champion team 1999 in Scotland.
 General comment : Relay 16th April 2000
On the 2nd day of the Orienteering World-Cup, the relay were held at the same place like the individual race, in the middle of Mt. Fuji Children's World Park. Today as well, the weather, did not change, it was rainy and chilly temperature, about 4.5 C degrees. For the relay, there were teams of three runners each country, some countries had even two teams.

Spectactor race
In the afternoon, at about 15:00 o'clock, the rain stopped and some little sunshine came out. If only, it would have been some hours early...
The spectactors race today, in the same forest like the relay today, had 1500 particpants. At yesterday's spectactor race, about 700 runners only took part.
