| In the women's class, Norway's team won. After the first leg, Finland came back first. On the second leg, Simone Luder from Switzerland had the fastest time and moved into fourth position, just only nine seconds after leading Denmark, Sweden 1 and Norway 1. It was a very exciting last leg. On that last leg, Brigitte Wolf (Switzerland) and Birgitte Nordahl-Husebye (Norway) were leading at halfway radio-control. Brigitte Wolf had a little shorter control and moved ahead, however, before the last radio-control, Brigitte Wolf made a parallel-mistake and lost about one minute, which was then chance for Birgitte Nordahl-Husebye to take the lead into the finish. All three members of the Norwegian team were also members of the last years World-champion team 1999 in Scotland. |
